Objective: Approaching and Opening
1. Approach any woman of choosing
2. Open (close optional)
Participants: Mus, GoGoGadget
Tampines Mall:
We started at the mall as usual and worked our way up. The quota was just one opening for Mus, but I set mine at five. Mus was supposed to open at the mall, but he failed to open, so we headed to PS. There was an HB6 waiting for the train, and Mus hesitated until the train arrived. Lesson learned.
Plaza Singapura:
The fun begins.
I opened one at the Dhoby Ghaut MRT with my cell phone bet opener. She didn't respond well and actually started to walk away before I coul finish. I need to work on my facial expressions because I don't think I was smiling too much. Attribute it to too much time since my last opening. She was only an HB4 at best.
Next, an HB6.5 with my funny shirt opener -- hi, can i stop you for a second? i need to get my dork of a little sister a present, what do you think of this shirt? Do you think it's cool? I show her my shirt. She smiles. "Yeah, it's a nice shirt." Do you know of any place around here that sells funny shirts like this one? She thinks for a second. "No, I don't think so, but I guess you can walk around and find one." I say thanks for her opinion.
Next, an HB6 at Times bookstore. I open with Mus's Little Sister opener -- hi, i'm looking for a magazine with all the latest and best advice on makeup for my little sister, could you help me? She chooses two. What is the difference between the two? "They're both really about the same." Oh? Then which do you prefer? "I prefer this one." I pick it up and flip through it. Ok, I'll take your word for it, thanks a bunch! She smiles back.
Last, a store assistant. I didn't really open her, I just had small and humorous talk with her. Maybe an HB6.
Mus opened an HB8.5 using me as wing with the gay shirt opener. She smiled and chuckled while Mus delivered the opener smoothly, I thought. No problems there. One step for Mus.
Very tiring doing this for hours, and we were mentally drained. We'll take it one step higher the next time, maybe increasing the number of approaches and actually writing down some routines to practice. An interesting day indeed.
